These 11 policies will need to be met to successfully complete the introduction period. Upon completion of the introduction period, members would be granted VFOR Incentives and privileges. If the Introduction period is not completed by 90 days, the membership agreement could be discontinued.

House Meeting

  • Members agree to attend the weekly House meeting.
  • To complete the introduction policy, members agree to attend the first 4 consecutive House Meetings.
  • Attending house meetings will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Recovery Meetings

  • Members agree to attend a recovery meeting within 24 hours of membership start date.
  • All introductory members understand and agree to attend one Recovery meeting daily.
  • All introductory members understand and agree to have personal documentation of Daily meetings.
  • Members may attend 2 online meetings per week.
  • Once members complete their 20 hours a week of Work, Volunteering or Education, this part of the introduction is complete.

Recovery Mentor

  • All Members agree to seek out a Recovery Mentor.
  • Members agree to communicate with their Recovery mentor at least on a weekly basis by talking by phone, meeting them in person or online.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Weekly Recovery Commitment (WRC)

  • Members agree to seek out A WRC
  • Members agree to actively participate in a WRC
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Work/Volunteering/Education

  • All Members agree to complete 20 hours a week of work, volunteering, or education and/or a combination of the three
  • Documentation of the 20 hours will be required to get off the introduction Period.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Nightly Check-in

  • All Members agree to call the House Coordinator by the 10:30pm Curfew.
  • Members agree to use the house phone.
  • Members agree to leave a message if the Coordinator is unavailable.
  • This is completed when the member has met the Introduction policies requirements 3-5.

Overnights, Guest, Outings, Curfew

  • No guests or nights out will be permitted during the introduction period.
  • Visits with children and meeting with a recovery mentor may be an exception however, this would need to be approved by the Housing Coordinator and the Operations Team.
  • After the Introduction is complete, Members are granted ETO’s and guest privileges.

Member’s Belongings

  • Members agree to only bring in property that fits reasonably in their allotted space.
  • Rooms need to meet VFOR’s standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Medication

  • Members agree to having all prescribed medications in the proper packaging and to take them as prescribed.
  • Members agree to have release of information (ROI’s) signed with their provider for VFOR Representatives to communicate openly.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Membership Dues

  • Members agree to be current with their membership dues.
  • Members agree to be self-supporting.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.

Safety

  • Members understand and agree that ALL VFOR homes, properties, and Members will be free of mood or mind altering substances.
  • Members agree to respect one another. No Racial, gender, age, physical or mental health discrimination, bullying, gossiping.
  • This will be a continued VFOR requirement.
